I can remember, a long time ago now, me and my sister Rebecca would go around to Nana and Grandads house to be babysat whilst my mum and dad went out on a friday night. We used to be dragged along to church with them and join in the service. We would come home and nana would cook tea whilst grandad would entertain us. Even as a young child I can remember him cracking jokes and having fun with us. Don't ask me now what the jokes were because I have no idea! We use dto sit down to whatever was on the tele, and me and grandad would sit and do a jigsaw. This seemed to take forever, and would fill our evenings. Obviously we never really finished the jigsaws and they were then left under the sofa till next time. I think we may have finished once... it was a scence under the Eiffel Tower. He must have had so much patience to sit down and do jigsaws every friday night with an 8 year old! Even Nana would fall asleep watching us... then again she did fall asleep at a lot of stuff :) Hey grandad if you're up there! We have those jigsaws in the study now. Needless to say they haven't been brought out of the boxes since. Maybe they will come out one day when I have 24 hours solid to spare... or an 8 year old to babysit. Tarra for now Carolyn x
